FAQ: Member Standards and Professionalism
-
ATLAS maintains quality through membership review, category management, meeting structure, attendance expectations, professional standards, leadership oversight, and policies that support ethical and respectful participation.
-
Accountability matters because a networking team only works when members consistently participate, follow through, and support one another. Clear expectations help maintain fairness, trust, and momentum within the team.
-
Relationship-first networking means that members focus on building trust, understanding, and mutual respect before expecting referrals. It is based on the belief that stronger relationships produce better long-term business opportunities.
-
ATLAS will review concerns involving unprofessional conduct and may issue warnings, suspend membership privileges, or terminate membership if necessary. Serious or repeated violations may affect membership status, rebate rights, and future participation. Be clear that ATLAS intends to protect and preserve our culture and will not tolerate behavior/s that hurt are members or our culture.
-
ATLAS encourages positive business relationships through structured meetings, professional standards, one-to-one conversations, business education, accountability, and a culture that values mutual benefit over short-term transactions.
-
Businesses or individuals that cannot operate in good legal and ethical standing, misrepresent their services, disrupt the professional environment, misuse referrals, or damage the reputation of other members are not a good fit for ATLAS. Additionally, Multi-level (MLM) type organizations will require prior approval from ATLAS before applying to ensure clear expectations that the prospective new member will NOT be permitted to “sell their business opportunity” to or through ATLAS members but are eligible to sell their products, and or services. This has been an issue within other networking organizations where MLM or “Network Marketing” members utilize open-networking or 1:1 meetings as “recruiting” or “selling the business opportunity” sessions which can affect other member’s continued participation within their team.
-
Consistency matters because it reinforces trust, dependability, and commitment. A consistent member becomes easier to know, easier to trust, and easier to refer.
-
Professionalism matters because every member’s behavior can affect the trust, reputation, and referral confidence of the entire team. Members are more likely to refer professionals who communicate clearly, act ethically, and follow through on commitments.
-
Yes. ATLAS will suspend or terminate members who violate the Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy, payment obligations, attendance requirements, referral standards, or other professional expectations.
-
Members are expected to act honestly, communicate respectfully, represent their businesses accurately, follow ATLAS policies, attend consistently, protect confidential information, and contribute to a positive and professional team environment.
