Yes. Prospective members who own and/or operate a business, or are a key contributor and/or decision-maker within a business are encouraged to attend as guests so they can experience the ATLAS meeting structure, meet members, and determine whether the organization is a good fit.

Some teams may require registration or review before a guest attends. This helps ATLAS protect category structure, meeting quality, and the professional environment.

What should I wear to a meeting?

Guests should wear professional or business-appropriate attire that reflects positively on their business and the networking environment. The goal is to present yourself as someone others would feel comfortable referring.

Can I visit more than one ATLAS team?

After a first visit, ATLAS will follow up with information about membership, category availability, the application process, or future meeting opportunities. Guests will also be invited to ask questions about whether the team is a good fit.

ATLAS may be a good fit if you value professional relationships, consistent attendance, referral-building, business education, and a structured environment. Visiting and speaking with members is the best way to evaluate fit.

Guests are generally allowed to introduce themselves and briefly explain their business within the structure of the meeting. ATLAS encourages professional introductions rather than aggressive promotion.

Can guests participate in discussions?

Accepted Answer

Guests may be invited to participate in appropriate portions of the meeting and business discussion. Participation should be respectful of the meeting structure and current members’ time. If by chance a guest is visiting and they are in direct competition with a member-business then we request the visitor refrain from any business/self-promoting during the meeting and to have a conversation with ATLAS leadership after the meeting about their potential fit within ATLAS. It is possible “similar” business types may have overlap without direct competition, but that determination is left for a discussion among the two (2) businesses and ATLAS leadership.

How do I register to visit?

Guests may register through the ATLAS website, a member invitation, a form, or a direct communication with ATLAS depending on the team and meeting location. OR, you may simply “just show up” BUT we really prefer to know who’s visiting so we can have a brief discussion just in case a particular business category seat is already claimed.

Members are encouraged to invite guests who are reputable professionals and potential strong referral partners. Guest invitations should focus on quality rather than quantity.

What should I bring to a meeting?

Guests should bring business cards if available, a concise introduction, a professional attitude, and a willingness to meet other business professionals. It is also helpful to be ready to explain who your ideal clients or referral partners are.
