Atlas Business Networking – Membership Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: September 5, 2025

  These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern membership, participation, and use of services provided by Atlas Business Networking (“Atlas,” “we,” “our,” “us”). By applying for membership, submitting payment, attending meetings, or using our website, you (“Member,” “you,” “your”) agree to these Terms.

1. Membership Eligibility

  Membership is open to business owners, licensed professionals, or authorized representatives of businesses who:

1. Operate in good legal and ethical standing.

2. Can actively participate in referral-based networking.

3. Agree to comply with Atlas rules, policies, and payment requirements.

4. Understand that Atlas enforces one business category per team to eliminate internal competition.

   – All applicants must complete on-boarding and a background check prior to approval.

2. Membership Structure

• A new Atlas team (“Chapter”) is considered active (“chartered”) once 8 members have attended for 3 consecutive weeks.

• The target maximum membership per team is 30 members.

• New teams may be formed if a chapter remains at or above 30 members for 3 consecutive weeks.

• Members may visit or attend other Atlas chapters without additional payment unless a competing applicant seeks that business category at that chapter. In that case, the member must either formally join that chapter or release the category.

3. Membership Payment Options

  Atlas offers two membership payment paths, both of which grant equal access and require the same behavioral standards.

A. Refundable Deposit Membership (Limited to the First 10 Members)

  $2,400 refundable deposit – Available only until 10 members elect this option per chapter.

• This option is available to the first 10 members who choose it, regardless of their joining order.

  • Example: If 18 members have joined but only 6 elected the deposit option, 4 refundable seats remain.

• Deposit is not a fee; it is a performance-based refundable commitment.

• Members may earn quarterly rebates equal to 1/8 of the deposit by meeting all performance standards:

  • Attendance: No more than 2 absences, with up to 2 substitutions per quarter

  • Referrals: Average of 3 qualified referrals per month

  • One-to-One meetings: Average of 3 per month

  • Visitors: Minimum 1 per quarter
    
    – Members who meet quarterly standards are eligible to earn back their full deposit over 8 consecutive quarters.

    – Refund eligibility requires that the member remains in good standing and meets all performance obligations outlined in these Terms.

B. Monthly Recurring Membership

  $149 per month (non-refundable)

• Billed automatically each month until canceled.

• No long-term contracts.

• Members may resign at any time, but no refunds (including prorated or partial months) will be issued for any reason.

• Cancellation must be submitted in writing prior to the next billing cycle.

  – This plan offers flexibility for members who prefer a monthly commitment.

C. On-boarding & Background Check Fee (Required for All Applicants / New Members)

  $149 one-time, non-refundable

  This fee applies to all applicants regardless of payment option and covers onboarding, verification, and administrative intake.

4. Member Obligations

  All members — regardless of payment plan — must:

1. Attend weekly meetings regularly.

2. Represent their business truthfully and professionally.

3. Submit and follow through on qualified referrals.

4. Participate in One-to-One meetings and visitor outreach.

5. Treat all members, guests, and visitors with respect.

6. Support a positive, cooperative, and growth-oriented chapter environment.

   – Failure to meet obligations may result in loss of rebate eligibility (for deposit members), suspension, or termination.

5. Suspension & Termination

  Atlas may suspend or terminate membership if a Member:

• Violates these Terms or other Atlas policies.

• Behaves in a manner detrimental to Atlas’ reputation, mission, or members.

• Fails to meet attendance, referral, or financial obligations.

• Acts unethically, deceptively, or disruptively.

  – Termination may result in forfeiture of unpaid rebates or deposit refund rights.

6. Intellectual Property & Branding

• The Atlas Business Networking name, logo, training materials, systems, and intellectual property are protected.
• Members may not copy, distribute, or use Atlas branding or materials without written authorization.

7. Disclaimers

• Atlas is a referral-based networking organization and does not guarantee business outcomes or financial results.

• Referrals are voluntary and may not result in closed business.

• Atlas is not responsible for any disputes between members or referred clients.

8. Limitation of Liability

• Atlas shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from membership or networking activities.
• Atlas’ total liability to any member shall not exceed the amount of the refundable deposit paid, less any rebates already returned.

9. Governing Law

  These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted according to the laws of the State of Florida.

10. Amendments

  Atlas may amend these Terms at any time. Continued membership constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.

Our website address is: https://atlasbusinessnetworking.com. Atlas Business Networking (“Atlas,” “we,” “our,” “us”) values your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you visit our website, apply for membership, or participate in our business networking activities.

By accessing our website, submitting membership information, or participating in Atlas programs, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

  1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of personal information:

• Contact Information – Name, business name, title, email address, phone number, mailing address.
• Business Information – Business category, industry, services offered, and other relevant details for networking purposes.
• Financial Information – Membership deposit payment details (collected securely via third-party payment processors; Atlas does not store sensitive payment card data directly).
• Attendance & Participation Data – Records of meeting attendance, referrals given, one-to-one meetings, and visitors hosted (to track rebate eligibility).
• Website Usage Data – IP address, browser type, operating system, pages viewed, and cookies (see our Cookie Policy).
• Embedded Content From Other Sites – Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website
• Comments – When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

  2. Cookies:

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

  3. How We Use Information

We use your information for the following purposes:

• To process and manage membership applications and deposits.
• To track member participation and determine eligibility for quarterly rebates.

  4. Sharing of Information

Atlas does not sell your personal information. We may share information in limited circumstances:

• With Members – Business and contact information may be shared with other Atlas members for the purpose of referrals and one-to-one meetings.
• With Service Providers – Third-party vendors may process data on our behalf (e.g., payment processors, website hosting, email systems).
• For Legal Reasons – When required by law, regulation, or court order.
• In Case of Reorganization – If Atlas undergoes restructuring or merges, member data may be transferred as part of the organizational assets.

  5. Data Retention

We retain personal information as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Policy or as required by law. If you terminate your membership, Atlas may retain limited information for recordkeeping, rebate disbursement, or legal compliance.

  6. Data Security

Atlas employs reasonable security measures to protect your personal information, including encryption, secure storage, and restricted access. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

 a) Who we share your data with: If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

 b) How long we retain your data: If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

 c) What rights you have over your data: If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

 d) Where your data is sent: Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

 e) Media: If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

  7. Member Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights including:

• The right to access personal data we hold about you.
• The right to request corrections or updates.
• The right to request deletion of certain data, subject to legal or contractual obligations.
• The right to opt out of marketing communications.
